With employee wellness becoming an increasingly important part of employers’ offerings, especially as many high calibre organisations move to position themselves as employers of choice, the need for well-structured employee benefit solutions has become paramount.

It is against this backdrop that Octagon Financial is proud to announce the launch of our dedicated Group Benefits division.

A first in the history of Octagon Financial, the division brings together several key resources who will focus specifically on the customisation and management of employee-oriented solutions for businesses, including products related to employee benefits and medical aids.

On the employee benefits front, we would like to introduce Faatima Pillay. Many of you will know Faatima from her years of service with Octagon – she has been with us right from the very beginning – and are familiar with her efficiency and dedication to every task at hand. All queries related to employee benefits, including retirement fund, group assurance and group funeral plans can now be directed to Faatima.

On the medical aid side of the business, we welcome Yehuda Kay. In recent years, Yehuda has focused on growing the short-term division at Octagon Financial, but will now take responsibility for all our corporate healthcare solutions, assisted by Kate Nyathe.

While the new division represents a positive growth prospect for Octagon, it also marks the departure of one of our most renowned team members – Esti Woznica, who leaves Octagon at the end of 2018 to pursue exciting new opportunities in New York.

We wish to thank Esti for her unwavering dedication to Octagon Financial over the past five years, and wish her all the best for her new adventures abroad.
